 Syllabus        During this course, I look forward to creating quality blog post for viewers that are interested in sports. I also want to get a better understanding of the media and how it works, in the course I will get a better understanding of how the media works. Lastly, I am interested in completing the course with a great score with great blogs.        Although I’m eager to to take part in this course, there are certain things that I am still nervous about. I am usually nervous about each blog that I make. I just hope that I do it well enough to satisfy viewer. I also get nervous about answering certain questions that my other classmates have no problem in answering. That’s because I don’t have much knowledge about media studies so I don’t know as much as other people. Lastly,    seeing other students work, it makes me feel like my work isn’t good enough but I always try my best to make sure my work is the best that it could be.         By the end of this course, I hope to gain

 History behind Sports Magazines The beginning of sports magazines dated all the way back to September 1946 in New York. The magazine was posted mostly and it carried eight full-color plates in its first edition. McFadden’s SPORT magazine first introduced sport magazines as a mainstream country-wide sports publication. Over the years, sport magazines went through many innovations including SPORT talk which cover a few small items at the front of the magazine and SPORT special which is a long feature place at the end of a magazine. The magazines used full colored pictures of sports players during the time. After 54 years,  SPORT magazines had under 10 different owners and ceased publication. It ended in 2000 and was mourned in many quarters.

 NBA Finals             With round one of NBA finals coming to an end, teams like Miami Heat have had an outstanding performance in their games. Miami has come to beating  difficult teams like the Pacers and Milwaukee Bucks in the playoffs. Miami is currently facing Celtics with a  2-1 lead. If Miami continues playing as a team and delivering game after game, you would definitely see them in the finals. Miami is 5th in Eastern Conference. Although the season started very late and teams have missed many games, the playoffs still seem accurate and is running well. 

 About Me             It would be good to learn a little about the person behind a blog. In this case, it would be me. I don’t really have much interest but I definitely like certain things. One of a few things that I really like would be football. Football was a key reason that I’ve started this blog about sports. I currently play football at the high school I attend. I live in a big family with many brothers and two sisters. I would love to attend the University of Florida to play football and major in computer science. UF has a great football program and a great computer science class. Another bonus is that I get to stay in Florida while going to the college that suits my needs. I plan to have a career In computer science and most likely will play football until the end of college.

 Week 2          After an amazing start to the NFL season with some head to head games, a few teams come out starting there season 1-0. Other teams, not so lucky. Week 2 will kick off tomorrow @8:20pm, Bengals @ Browns. Bengals received an outstanding  Quarterback out of LSU. Joe Burrow looks to lead the  Bengals this season and take them to the playoffs.          Wide receiver, Michael Thomas, star player for the Saint sufferer from an Injury in week 1 against the Dolphins and will be out for week 2 against the Raiders. He suffered a high ankle sprain which usually keeps players out the game for three or four weeks. Thomas is certain that he will not miss time and will be back as soon as possible.           

Game Schedules     Knowing game schedules and when your favorite teams are playing is great for keeping up with the season. Knowing the schedule for the season helps you keep up with games so you’ll never miss a game. Stay up to date and never miss out. Many different sports have many different schedules. It was be hard to remember when every team is playing. Keeping a schedule and a reminder will make it easy for you to watch any game you want!!

Sports Illustrated!! With the NFL season coming back, fans are getting riled up for up coming games to kick of the season. Fans all over the country are excited to watch new incoming players to show out in there very first professional game. The waiting is over and football is finally back, and not only football. Many other sports like Basketball, Hockey, and Baseball reopened weeks back. Now with sports back, people can get the entertainment they need!!

I have decided to create a magazine for my Aice Media Studies including a magazine cover, content for my magazine, and a double page spread. I will be working alone and uploading my individual post.
