 What I’ve learn in the Course...

At the beginning of my Aice Media Studies class, I only knew little to nothing about the way a film was constructed or how to run a blog or even create a magazine. Whenever I watched movies or show, I never thought about camera angles, camera shots, or misc-en-scene. This course has taught me so many things that I would have not figured out on my own. Creating a magazine wasn’t as easy as i thought it would be. At first, I honestly thought this course was gonna be easy. “Create blogs and make a magazine”, easier said then done, it takes a whole process to conduct and creat a magazine. You would need to first have your idea, now you have to make that idea into a magazine. Creating a magazine requires creativity, organizing, lots of planning, text, pictures, and more. I’ve come along way from when i first got into this course and I only expect to grow and get better along the way.

 #2. What was the inspiration behind your blog/magazine? When I first started out creating my blog, I was stuck on what I should do. I wasn't sure that I would be able to come up with something that I could work on throughout the course of this class. So I started to think more in depth about things that I like. Writing about something that I like would ensure that I have fun while working on my blog. So, I thought about a few ideas. My first idea was to actually make a blog based off of gaming, but I figured that I would run out of ideas fast.  #3. Who is the target audience for my blog/magazine? As I said before, the topic of my blog and magazine center around sports, mainly basketball and football. Meaning that my blog and magazine would mainly target sports fans. I myself am a sports fan and I am very interested in sports; which allowed me to make my blog about sports. I have a perspective on sports that many other people have. I am able to share a interest that many other people have, that allows me to build an audience for my blog and magazine. I want to be able to share information and statistics about sports to other people that enjoy sports. Sports fans find a lot of their entertainment in the thrills and amazement in watching sports. If thrills and amazement were combined with graphics and eye catching color, fans are sure to be interested in catching up with sports blogs and magazines.  #4. How will you use what you've learned? Throughout this course, I have definitely taken in a lot of new things in the past few months. I was tough to analyze film and media and I also learned many different elements in mise- en-scene and camera angles.  Studying film  and theater has its perks, I will now appreciate movies and plays even more, and I will undoubtedly see more movies than before; the visual details, and the social and political themes are all vital when it comes to understanding the world around us. Now when I see any movie or film, I automatically start thinking of hidden elements or any hints in the film. I have been more used to seeing a film and analyzing it.
