 Interview Feature story Draft

Tinsley Ohenhen is a freashman,  and a great basketball and football player at Miami Carol City Senior High. He was available and was the perfect candidate for an interview due to his experience in sports and Ohenhen had questions about his sports life that were unanswered. Upon his arrival, he appeared as if he was getting ready to work out or train. It's either he just got here from training or plans to train after the interview. As the interview began, they proceeded to greet each other. "Good afternoon Tinsley Ohenhen, I'm glad you were able to make it out today. How are you doing this afternoon?", asked the interviewer. Tinsley replied, "I'm alright, how about you?” The interviewer replies, “I’m doing good.” After their greetings, questions started being asked. Ohenhen received his first question from the interviewer,” What are a few things you could have done to ensure a better outcome of this season?” He seemed a bit nervous as he received his first question, but he answered the question with courage saying, “I could have put in more hours of practice and built more chemistry with my teammates.” Following that question was the next one, “How do you feel about the goals you've accomplished during the season and pre-season? Explain.”, the interviewer asked. Ohenhen confidently replied, “This season started of slow but i was able to show out and put up some points and assist. I would say I had a good season.” Ohenhen gave back great responses to the first few questions, so we kept moving on. The interviewer proceeded to the next question, “How do you and your teammates have good communication and chemistry on and off the courts?” Ohenhen seemed a little bit more nervous when asked this question and here was his response, “Good communication leads to performing good as a team. While on the court, it’s like we know each other’s move, so we know how to move the ball around and get the ball to the basket. Consistently practicing and hanging around my teammates helps me build chemistry with my teammates.”

Although, he was nervous when first asked the question, Ohenhen answered with confidence. From here on out, the interview vent smoothly. They moved on to the next question. The interviewer asked, “What makes you a role model or captain for other players and athletes?” Ohenhen responded, “I feel like a leader because i always encourage and lift up my other teammates in practice and in games.” Tinsley already shows great confidence and has leadership skills. Ohenhen see’s himself as a rising star for colleges. He reminds other athletes not to doubt themselves and to keep pushing to get to where you want to be. He emphasizes that he is empowered after a great win and see’s himself most proud during the end of his season. Lebron James is a role model that Ohenhen looks up to because of his physicality. Tinsley believes that a great student athlete handles their priorities in the classroom and on the courts. Covid doesn’t stop Tinsley from being active. He plans to go to basketball courts and work out in his own time to stay active. Tinsley Ohenhen cooperated well during the interview and it was great hearing from him.
